Jenifer Aronowitz, Ph.D. has been working with young children and their families for more than 15 years. She was licensed by the state of California in 2003 and has worked in hospital and clinic settings as well as private practice since that time. Her initial research was focused in the area of EEG asymmetry and behavioral reactivity in infants at the University of California San Francisco.
She went on to study language function following temporal lobectomy and language deficits following temporal lobe resection in young seizure patients. Later, she became very interested in the study of ADHD and its co morbidity with Learning and Processing Disorders in school aged children.
More recently her research has focused on the increase in Autism Spectrum Disorders and the possible causes and most effective interventions and treatments for these children.
Today, she splits her time between private practice at Neuropsych Kids, where she sees a diverse population of preschool and school age children, and the Palo Alto JCC preschool ,where she works as an inclusion specialist providing social skills groups, in class observations and parent consultations and lectures.
